Hey guys, new to the forum so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm from Spokane, WA but currently in Pullman goin to school. I've got a 76 F-150 4x4 with a 390 in it that is my current project. Just gettin started on it, I rebuilt the motor a few years ago and then the tranny blew and it's been sitting ever since. I've also got an 87 Bronco with a 5.0 in it and 33" Toyo MT's, but I screwed up the steering and suspension this summer pretty bad offroadin. So now it will sit for a while until I can work next summer and do an SAS. Within the next couple weeks I'm going to get my truck up and running and put my Bronco's tires on it and a lift when I get the money. Anyone else goin to wazzu?

putting a centerforce stage 2 clutch, sm420(granny low), 4 linking the rear streching it 25" to 100".

The TJ, I just purchased is bone stock, I plan on lifting it pretty soon, but nothing too major as it will just be my daily.

My other jeep has been my project for the passed couple years. its a YJ with a chevy 383 stroker swap, turbo 350 tranny, dana 44's front/rear with forged shafts, solid detroit lockers, front warn hubs, flipped d-300 t-case with 4.1 ratio double shifter, 35x14.50 thornbirds that sucks in the mud but rules in the sand & snow.
The body is currently apart as it just received a complete new Lamborghini Blue paint job. Yes, its no longer a rock mud wheeler, but it has and will be meant for sand and snow trips.

Hey gang. My name is kevin and i live in Kent. I have been here for a bit, i was a member of RCC till a few monthes ago.

This my project, not a wheeler rig, but a resto in progress that I call Project 84. I got the rig for free from my wifed uncle because the 360 started knocking in the lower end at 165k on the clock. I swapped in a running 318 from a 77 D100 that I spent 400 bucks on. At last tally i think the total cost so far was 900 to 1000 buck, as opposed to my old RC which over 10 years was most likely a 10 to 12k investment. It is my errand runner and may become my daily depending on what happens with future work projects.

There are some cool rigs in the area. I just moved here from Arizona and have been itchin' to wheel. The jeep is still sitting in its "Garage" (30 ft enclosed trailer I moved with) until I buy a home with a real garage.

What I got. Whats left of a 2000 Tj 4.0 Auto 231 with Teralow 4:1 and 2low. Triangulated Four Link Front and rear with 108" wheelbase. HP D44 and D60 Superior axles and joints with detroit front, stock welded rear. 39.5 Iroks. I wheeled for more than 10 years in the rocks and dirt of AZ and now am looking for some locals to show me the ropes here in Washington and Idaho.

I can honestly say the only thing that is left on this truck from when I bought it is the Frame, one case and the axles! Everything else is different!

I do 80% of my wheeling in the snow. 87 samurai, lock rights f/r, xrc 8 winch, 30x9.50 cheapo tires,on board air, aux. heater, Built 1.3l that made 67hp at the wheels on the dyno (yes I have the dyno sheet, haters), and I just installed 6.5 case gears two days ago.:eek: I cant wait to wheel with them. Right now around here I have to wheel with the hubs unlocked for any excitement, and even then... :zzz:

How do you like the bfg km2 mud terrains? I was thinking of getting the same size for my bronco. :cookie:

their pretty nice tires. the only thing i hate is the tread is a lot softer then the older km 1's (pictured on the truck). they hum pretty good, a little more then the older version. definitely grippy tires tho. i hardly use 4wd when dinking around with friends or hunting. i would def recommend them to a friend, especially if you can find them for a decent price.

my next tire is going to be the new goodyear kevlar mtr. the reviews on those tires are awesome.

my wife has an '89 xj with 6" lift on 33"bfgs with a dana 30 upfront with the super 30 kit an arb and 411's and in the rear i just installed an 8.8 with the track loc lsd and 410's.

Have any pics of those areas? I have been all over, but never really know the names. I'm not sure if I've been there. Secret mountain is like 10miles out of Medford. :D

baldy/pilot rock isnt really challenging at all... its more of a lot of killer views right on the california border near emigrant lake and the I5. its a really fun drive thou cus only toyotas, jeeps, and zuks can really do it. its is really tight trails that weave in and out of the timber and run the ridge. the trail is an old atv trail. it starts on the baldy/tyler creek road side or emigrant creek road side and connects over into pilot rock area. i was recently informed that the pilot rock side is now off limits and has been block off by the government (just like the soda mountain wilderness). my buddies and i always like taking this trail after a lil snow or rain cus it gets really muddy and kinda steep. so it makes it more challenging.

i know theres a secret mountian in dorris, ca. still a little unclear about where the one by medford is? is it near evans creek? thats another pretty fun area.

currently building a cherokee truggy dual triangulated 4 link rear and 3 link front. got link tabs if people want to buy em. perfect set ups for the rears of toyotas 25 degree angled link mount and coilover mount combined. and also got upper brackets that are adjustable from 22 to 25 degrees

That sure looks like a 10 bolt front end to me.

nope 10 bolts dont have close knuckes. I couldn't really see the diff cover the best but it looks round like a 10 bolt. They are a ok front end but the have smaller shafts and arent as strong as a 44.

i am not a fan of 44's and no nothing of 10 bolts other than i've been told they are garbage boat anchors. good to see ya hare crewchief, this is super samurai on other nw boards.

I'm in Newberg/Dundee and have a 91 toyota pickup ex-cab with the 3.0, on 31 bfg A/T's. currently, it's stock, except for the bumper.

i'm not gonna do anything to crazy to it. it's my daily driver and i plan on owning it for as long as it lasts. eventually: bj spacers, 33's, and some body armor.

right now i'm in korea for a whole year, and my truck's just sitting at home... which sucks...

I think I'm the only mitsu guy in this thread. Anyhow, I have a 1988 montero swb. I'm about wrapped up on a g54b turbo swap and 5 speed swap. I'm working on a slight body lift along with some suspension lift. Has aisin hubs, a sr air locker that needs to be installed, and a few other misc things. I will be installing second gen v6 front suspension along with an arb front air locker down the road.

I've only got the driveway shot 'cause I had to bring the bitch back to life, replaced the entire ignition and fuel systems over the last month. Still have to work out the steering before it sees any serious duty but she'll be ready for Mud Fest.

Edit.. corrected steering and welded the rear up after a snow run exposed the open dif as a major shortcoming.. she's ready for the mud!

Building this truck to be a snow toy.

This is my first post on this site. I never really have been into the whole forum thing. The main use the internet has for me is craigslist. I sell truck and car stuff on craigslist so i can buy more truck and car stuff on craigslist. I currently have an 81 bronco that will go to the grave with me. When i get back from this shithole aghanistan in a few months I will start to build a 351 Cleveland for it since I burned up the straight six on the hills up here. It was brought up from texas were we don't have hills, and it got along fine. The second truck is a 99 Suburban that will get a 4bt and dana 60s when the bronco is finished. I live out near Olympia and have been wrenching and fabricating since I was a kid. So I am not new to the hobby just the northwest and this site.

Got a 1992 Mazda B2600i With a pretty well built 350 th350 and 208 transfer case, i know that's a week link. dana 44 axles from a wagoneer front and rear, toyota front springs on home built everything els. the radiator sits in the bed.

Also got a 1984 cj8 that is right hand drive. its a future project, already has rockchester tbi and disk brakes in the back.

also got a 1986 chevy pickup 4 inch lift and slots, 16.5s

one more haha 1980 toyota pickup bone stock other than buckets and slots, 15s

my 95 yj wrangler rio grande - that i got for 400 dollars still not sure wtf the guy was thinking

i have just recently became the owner of a 95 yj when i bought this jeep it had a blown motor so i currently am trying to figure out what route to go my choices being

A. finding a used 2.5L 4 cyl and just doing a swap
B. rebuilding the motor i have but to do that i will have to have at least one cylinder sleeved because some how with this motor the numer 4 piston clostest to the fire wall has simply vanished no trace of it so the connecting rod did a number on the cylander
C.saving up and buying a crate 2.5
D.useing a trans adapter kit and puting a chevy 4.3

every ones imput will be very helpful because i am originally started off a toyota guy but i couldnt pass up this jeep for that price seeing as it all ready has a SOA lift pratically brand new 33in tires good soft top no rips or tears was told it has gear will have to look into that it has a after market electric fan hooked to a toggle in the cab 4.0 throttle body the body it flawless not a dent found on it i just wanna get it on the road ASASP and see what she like but like i said this is my first jeep so ne advice will be very helpful

I've got a 99 TJ on 35 Ground Hawgs, 4.56's, super 35 with an Ox locker and Yukon shafts in the rear, D30 open front(I need a 44 :shaking:). Its all short arm for now but that is soon to change. I blew up the 2.5L but wasnt ready for a motor swap, so I rebuilt the 2.5 and punched it .020 over with a 4.0L throttlebody and spacer. :smokin:
