Ive got a 9.75 in the rear of my 03 f-150(and a spare one too...), and have a few questions yall might be able to help me out with...

Someone told me that there was a pre-cut backbone and/or truss kit being made, any of yall know who makes it? Anything else to beef up these rear ends?

Both of my axles have the factory LS in it. Are they worth a damn? Whats a better replacement and pros/cons?

What the best place to buy gears and master install kits? I need either 4.88 or 5.13.

Also, what are my options for the front cv's(mine are extended and sleaved, but I want stronger ones that will allow me full travel), and the front diff?

Heres a run down of what Ive got, incase it makes a diffrence... My truck is an 03 f150 f-150 4x4, right now front is pulling about 16"(will pull 20" with aftermarket cv's), and Im setting up the rear with deavers, custom shackles, and a bed cage to pull 20". Ive got 5.4, and Im running 37's, with glass all the way around. Its my daily driver, and I commute 50 hwy miles each way 10 days a month...

Thanks,
Cory

The truck already has a nice over length custom fabed front end, with 3.0 kings c/o's and 2.5 kind hyd. bumps, so Im not even considering doing away with the IFS. Its a pre-runner, but I still wanted 4x4 so I could still do a few of the trails around here....

One of the offroad magazines did this a couple years ago when the new f150 came out, maybe OFFROAD magazine. They originally cut and sleeved the cv's but later had some aftermarket ones made.

You would get alot more help in the desert racing forum. I know there is a company that makes longer CV's, but I dont recall who.

metal is metal and if you're friends with a good machinest go have a chat with him and tell him what you want to do, and if you've got the cahs (which is sounds like you do) then you're imagination is the limit.
