: Engine Rebuild Kits- who to use?

The 350TBI in my Yukon finally gave up the ghost. Either cracked a head or blew a headgasket. Leaking so much coolant into the cylinder that it will hydrolock if left to sit a few days. Then I pull the spark plug, drain the coolant and she fires right up.
Anyways, after 275K mi, it's time for a rebuild. Engine will be out this evening, all I have left to do is the six tranny to engine bolts.

I'm sure it will need to be bored out, so I will be in need of pistons, rings bearings, etc, etc. Recently I rebuilt a 22re, and purchased a kit from an online retailer. I was happy with the convience of a one stop purchase. I've seen several kits on EBAY, but was hoping to get a recommendation from someone who had recently purchased a kit. So, who should I order from?

Might also considering building a 383 as well, just depends on the budget, which is REALLY low.

Thanks
John

well you can get a cast 383 kit fairly cheap most are good for about 500 hp. just make sure you make the right head selection for what rods you use (6 inch or 5.7) for the short rods you will have a slower piston speed and more btdc dwell you will need more velocity (smaller port head) with the 6inch rods you will have a faster piston speed and will need better flowing heads larger ports

check out northernautouparts.com I haven't rebuilt an engine in a few years but they had the best prices around and you had a choice of dirt sheap quality to the good stuff. Great customer service as well, fast shipping. A buddy of mine ordered a 22r rebuild kit and saved like $200 or something over anywhere else for the same brand parts.

I have used two Summit rebuild kits and was pretty happy with them.
