not much information on this.. pics were passed to me. Ill add more info as I can.

new info... Ive been told this is a cab mount. It sits atop the orginal cab mounting spots. A Mog's frame twist requires very fley cab mounts and this guy made his a 3 point mount. The extra height is to make room for the engine I supose.

My mog.. which is supose to arive in late june has a 2" cab lift on it as well. It also has a OM617A engine (300 Turbo Diesel ) but was installed useing a profesional kit, that tilts the motor 13 degrees off center to help clearance issues.

the kits for installing an OM617A include a new bell housing (a german Advance adapters type of company) that that allow the motor to be clocked to avoid clearance issues with body and leg room etc.. This home brew is not clocked as u can see.

more of the engine mounts are visable here. The OM617A is a 5 cyl. Turbo Diesel motor and has a wee bit more Horses that what was there.. (90horse? before... now 115) and a much stronger Torqe.

Note: the engine and tranny allow for the frame to twist around them quite a bit. Also the engine and tranny take forces from the drive line., cause the suspension system is also tied to the tranny and engine more so than the frame. Correct me if I'm wrong but think of it as a 3 link system with the center link actually being the drive line itself. Yeah I know.. hard cocept to swallow, but that is how Torque tube design works from what I understand.

tight fit, Original motor was 4cy. (ooopsss.. I mean small straight sixes) Yeah.. these engine bays are TIGHTTTTTTT

It's like wearing spandex it's such a tight fit.

I just saw the hand pump bulb on the gas line in this pic. I wonder if that is the intended method for dealing with vapor lock when it crops up.

Also close inspection shows the pedals are now at floor hight. Wonder how he intends to solve this. hmmmmm. hope his mog has power assit brakes. Many dont.

Unimogs had 6 cyl engines... my misstook.

Its now corrected above
