I know we've got a sticky but it doesn't really say who from this board is coming. Just curious who's headed to Montrose in a few weeks. Yes I said a few weeks... BTW, the deadline for registration without a penalty is this Friday.

I guarantee you we can find you a seat each day. Also, let us know if your thinking about flying into either DIA or Grand Junction, we can probably hook you up with a ride to Montrose as well. If you end up doing this post something over on the www.solihullsociety.org forum. Lots of traffic there and should find someone to help out. ME, VA, NC, GA, and FL have some great wheeling. As do HI and WA. Hell this is the first place I have ever lived where you don't need to spend hours after the trip washing off mud.

I hate mud! I get my yearly dose of it at MAR....course, that's about to change.

Paragon did not have a lot of mud and neither does Raush Creek. Sure, you can find it at those places, but why...???

Tellico is just silly. It's not mud, but a gooey slim that covers everything. Top that with the rock that are slick as glass and sharp, and you have a very difficult place to wheel.

Windrock has a little mud if you want it, but you can spend all day long on the Rattle Rock trail and travel about 1/4 mile. Who cares about mud then...???

The list goes on....

You can find all the mud you want around here, but we have a lot more than just mud.

At 40 m/m, that would be a "Destructive Device". How the hell did you get a tax stamp for one of those?

Licensed manufacturer of destructive devices. Its mounted onto the Rover as a way to demonstrate to local LEOs :flipoff2:

My father sells them and manufactures the 40mm ammo(based out of Miland TN), as well as 120mm and a dozen others. He has the paperwork, not me unfortunately.

Hey Larry, If I can't get my diff back together, can I bring my Land Cruiser?

JP, If we go, we will be camping if you want to drive down together and/or camp.

You can bring anything you want to the Rally. That's the beauty of our club, no Land Rover required!

OK, now I understand. When we had the gun shop, we had to work on a MAC-10 and only had the receiver (which in the infinite wisdom of the BATFags constitutes possessing the entire weapon), but not the paperwork. My father was quite scared by the entire ordeal and we never had even parts to select fire guns on site thereafter. Made my work for the drug control task force much less lucrative.

I know y'all will give me a lot of crap for saying it, but I'd like to see a 1-year old longfield birf vs a 1-year old D-60 (30 or 35 spline). Of course the UJ will break in the 60 first, and a CTM is too much $$ to break, but maybe a steel pin could be made to act as the UJ...

Bobby, did you get those other two 30-spline CV's back from Jeremy yet? Were those "installed wrong" too?;)

someone call GBR and have him bring a set of his new HD Cv's. Great opportunity!

So Bobby, I broke a roverlong innershaft right at the splines entering the CV. I was surprise it didn't break in the middle of the shaft or on the diff side. What if this was up to 30 spline on that end, do you think it would be any stronger? We could bore out the spindles to fit a bigger shaft.... or is it just polishing a turd and at that point go with the 30 toy longs with 30 spline ends at the diff too?

Yes we have already tested them like that at the Hammers, not much differents between the new and used one.

I'm not sure if they sent it to us and its broke we will replace it, and you know we even replace them when they are installed wrong.:smokin:

If you broke our inner shaft send it back and we will replace it. We throught about makeing the inner shaft 30 spline in the birf but the next weak point would be at the outer stub witch would cost more to replace and could kill the spindle.

Bill screens my calls so I can't call him... On your warrenty question, hell why not! It's halfway between the mall and the trail so it's fair game!! Though he wouldn't be happy to replace them.

I once heard a story about Bill not warrantying his old CV's even though the warranty comes from rockford, eventually this person got a replacement directly from rockford no problem.... this is 3rd party info so I can't verify it but it comes from a good source.

Justin; just so you know. GBR doesn't even have caller ID. And Shawn's the office manager. So Bill isn't screening your calls. Bill just focuses his energy on productive endeavours, Not wasting his time on negatives.

Pics should be up in a couple days. The Montrose trails live up to their names. Lots of carnage over the last few days. Best trail repair so far- weld together a sheered sector shaft on trail (3 hrs). "Die trying", "CactusII", and "Topless" have an endless bombartament of rolling boulders jutting can- openers and rocks the size of your truck. You don't ever get a break on these trails. Larry and his sulihull team put on a excellent event. JP
