First off I'm new to link suspesions. My build: 59 Willys wagon/388 SBC/700R4/203/205/HP 60 front and rear/37" rubber/stretched TJ frame. Suspension setup. This is what I'm working on 6" lift long arm 5 link front and 4 link with V-bar rear. I will be doing most of the fab work. I plan on driving it 60/40 street/offroad. I want it to handle well and be safe on the street. I do not plan on trailering it to the trail very often. I'm looking for real time opinions experiences mostly. I'm looking at running KING or Sway-A-Way remote res. shocks in either case.

The questions:
1. Which setup would work better for 60/40 driving?
coils or coilovers

2. If you were to only use coilovers on one end?
front or rear

TIA for any help or info. I also hope that this will help others with similar questions. I have searched and read posts on this, but was looking for a bit more from those that are driving down the highway to the trail.

Coilovers can be tuned to work better than anything. The real question is, how much time do you want to put into setting them up?

If your not back halfing the TJ frame I'd put the coilovers up front. They are hard to fit in the back on wrangler frames.

thanks. If I get the shocks cheap enough I'll get threaded for the front and smooth in the rear. I do not plan on back halfing. I nned the space in the rear for the family to wheel with me occasionally.
