Went to the dealer and he says no color code for the metal bumpers and no touch up paint he can order. It does not seem to be a true black. I tried a pep boys rattle can flat that is close but still seems like the color has some gray in it. Anyone touched up the bumper carnage?

Its easy. You pull the bumper off, and paint it with the $0.98 cans of black spray paint you get at Wal-Mart. Either that or go get it re-chromed...
Its not really hurting anything either way even if you leave it on. You might even have someone look at it and go "WOW DID YOU DRIVE INTO A ROCK LIKE THEY DO IN THAT EXTREME COMMERCIAL??" which will give you +1 in social status.

no mall queen scratch. 2 large boder impacts that will rust quick. Line x peels off, I have seen that before. Oh well rattle can flat black it is.

From the time you have posted, till now, they should atleast be forming some kind of surface rust. But you live out west, so maybe you are the lucky. I usually get surface rust after a day or so.

you near the salt? I have seen rust on Diffs in a matter of weeks, That's what makes it fun. Scrape some off, spray some on....repeat:laughing:

If you really want to match the paint-get a chip off it and have them match it with the "eye" (matchmaker or similar). Any good paint shop will have one.

And a fussy fruit.
Jeebus, just man-up, take the friggin bumper off and rattle can it. There's quite a few kinds of spray paint at Home Depot that will work.
