Good luck fitting those terra's with 8" of lift. My friends running tractor tires that are about the same height and narrower with 12" springs and a 3" body lift with several inches of fender trimming and they still rub bad.

so how much lift do you think will be ok. im going to eventually cut the rotted floor out of it and bolt the cab to a cage inside. thats how we built the first shocker monster truck. i was just going to fallow that route just alot cheaper!!!

Im running 12 inch leafs with 49 tractors and rockwellson my 88' K5. I didnt want to put a body lift on it but was forced to because i didnt want to go any higher. i trimmed the fenders And had no prob with the the rear but the front was a different story.my front end is moved forward an inch and a half and i was still beating the hell out of the fenders right in front of the door when i got it in a hard bind. I too installed some 8" skyjackers at first but was worried about the front chunk contacting the oil pan so i opted for 12's. i since did some more trimming and have no more probs

so i should run 12" lift front axle pushed 4 inches forward with chopped fenders????????? just need to know what i have to get ahold of before i get back and start working on it. also are you guys running full hydro or hydro assist or what?

im running full hydro. best mod ive ever did. I hate to tell you moving it forward would work and it not. you are also going to run into pinion brake clearance probs also. just go with 12's

im not running pinion brakes. im running f450 calipers and rotors. then will be just like your normal brake setup. so the least amount of lift i can run is 12 with 48" and alot of cutting? how stable is this going to be. ive never had a truck this big usually im running 6" lift with 42 with about 30" under the belly. but that is west coast southern california standards.

I'm in the process, 87 chevy 7-8" of lift. Had to do bump stops in the fromt, the top loader is close to the oil pan and engine crossmember.

If you're not gonna drive it on the street why bother with wheel brakes?

My pinion brakes were really cheap and work great off road.

I forgot to mention I'm running 52's in the front, so the axle is moved forward. The oil pan would be a huge problem w/low lift and the axle in the stock location.

im running rockwells and 53" xl's in my 85 blazer with only 4" front leafs and shackle flipped rear, i have no clearence problems in the front with my oil pan while running pinion brakes. i have chopped my fenders and pinched it front and back though, and the oddest part is im running bone stock drivetrain(350/700r4/np208) witch ive just been waiting for that all to grenade its self but it keeps on keeping on, go figure .ill through up some pics
