I was just thinking of different types of businesses and area's to post land use notices and area's that would be a bad idea to post the notices. If we had a thread with idea's, this could help everyone across the whole country. This way they could start sending notices and posting them now, before the Route Dez. starts in their area's and try to get a step or two ahead.

I'll start with the obvious ones and some that I've thought of.

4x4 shops
motorcycle shops
hunting/fishing shops
sports activity stores (ie; Big 5, Sports Authority, etc.)
gun ranges
law enforcement agencies (great people to have on your side)
wild game butcher shops
taxidermy shops
small town store's and burger joints
local auto parts stores
lake and river side marina's
boat sales/repair shops
ohv area signs (next to where they keep maps)
local camp grounds and camp ground hosts (they want people there)
local paper in the local section (careful, a lot of papers are heavy green)

You don't really want to stay away from anywhere, but tons of local colleges and universities are super green. You don't always want to invite the enemy to the battle. In the case of Humbolt State Univ. on the North coast of Ca, it might be a really bad idea.

OK, what else can we come up with........

Send letters to the local paper editor, stating your position on the issue.

Also do the same when your local jeep club did something good for the community. This way, the local people see us all as a group that helps the community.
This will create the impression that we are not all that bad, and we do help people.
Then when you send in your letter to the editor, the old grandma will remember the good things you have done before, and she will possibly call the forest service and complain that they are taking away land from some good people in the 4x4's.
