PLEASE remind everyone at the meeting that the Forest service IS NOT the bad guy.
They are just doing the job thats been given to them, yelling at them will only hurt our cause. Be FIRM but polite...
The Sierra club takes them out to freakin LUNCH for godsakes. We should wine and dine these guys too....
PS,
If anyone attending thinks they won't be able to maintain....you are welcome to sit by me, I have a mean "mom" pinch :grinpimp:

For anyone planning to speak tonight or any other night. I just remembered another good point to argue/discuss. Awhile back there was a club that had taken physically disabled kids out on trail rides in there personal jeeps. From what I remember that the kids had a fantastic time and got to do something that they normally would never get to.
Just a thought

This goes for all handicap people. Without access by vehicle, they are taking away the rights of disabled people to also visit and enjoy the outdoors. You could use the extreme and say that it is no different than telling someone that they can't do something because of their race. Being disabled doesn't mean that you are less of a person, and the disabled are entitled to the same rights.

I know it's to late for tonights meeting but for future meetings what about the economic impact to the local communities? Wouldn't the loss of all those dollars that we spend negatively impact those small businesses? Just a thought

that meeting tonight did anything but put me at ease about this whole process. I'm going to spend some serious time this week/end getting the word out with some flyers and warm up a few more hundo for the legal fund.
if you know about this you are in the minority, you need to take personal responsibility for spreading the word- if we don't make this a HUGE pain in the ass for them to lock us out of these areas the rest of the country will fall right in line behind them.
