Im running an np205 behind a th350 with rockwells. I was hammering down on it today and broke the lower half of the adapter in half. Has anyone ever heard of this? does anyone make better adapters? All my motor mounts are good.....

I have done it. The census of the problem lies in too stiff transfer-case mounts.
I was running poly transfer-case mounts with rubber engine mounts. I also had the transfer-case to frame brace which does no good because the frame flex too much on the old chevys.

you would be better off to solid mount the engine and rubber mount the transfer case.
You can weld it back together using the proper procedures.

I did this as well. Welded my back together and machined off just enough to surface it, had to take the same amount from the snap ring groove as well. It has been fine ever since.
I had all rubber mounts in good shape when mine happened. After that I installed the side mount, and all has been well ever since.

I believe that advance adapters is selling new ones for a reasonable price.

they break all the time, which is why used factory ones are pricey. make sure the extra side brace on your t case is installed properly with rubber donuts. this is the brace w/ 2 holes on the pass side. if it's not there it is easy to fab. this will keep the t case from twisting which is the cause of the breaking the 'feet' off the adapter.
