: Quick question about an Alternator hickengineering 07-23-2007, 02:33 PM I am just finishing my TBI conversion on a jeep and i wanted to know if anyone knew the specs on the chevy alternator (ie amps, watts) so i can make sure the current system will be able to handle the new FI. The doner was a 91 chevy 1500 4.3. Thanks CH Nate C 07-23-2007, 02:38 PM Don't know but the old cheby alternators usually put out around 45 amps. A quick search looks like the newer ones are running around 90-100 amps.
