Some of you guys might remember me starting my trail rig build a year ago and saying a was going to create a "warthog" clone. I guess only the Halo fans would understand. Anywhere, here is the finished product. The .50 is non-functioning, and pops out for trail rides, but otherwise uses dual 404 steering mog axles and an injected, turbocharged 302. Whadda ya'll think?

yeah what i think, i think you're talented with photoshop, see if you wanted it to be believable, you would've drawn in a fake 4-link and not leave in the way the suspension is in that thing in the game, that or you went to a video game conference (or halo tournment) and they had a model of the thing sittin there, or a bit of both :flipoff2:

The suspension only "looks" similar to the one in the game from the side, theres no hiding the mog axles looking at in from the front and it is four-linked, the sheetmetal boxes you can see hide the links but make it look authentic. Bow before my mad fabrication skills and inner geekdom :flipoff2:

Its at my buddies shop but I'm heading back over tomorrow night and take some more detailed pics for you guys :smokin:

edit: I'll do you one better, SuperBeast is over there right now so tomorrow night I'll take some video of me driving it, along with it next to SuperBeast......that way you'll know I didn't just snap some pics at a convention.

If so then i appauld your efforts cause you did good, it could be the paint that makes it look odd though as like its still animated, unless you got one of those vynal (sp?) wraps to get it duplicated with that fine of detail.

I WANT ONE. If if was made as invincible as the one in the game, that would be the coolest car-thing ever. Thats including every car/ OHV made, factory or full blown custom. Basically I'm rambling about how someone needs to make a rig as invincible as the Halo Warthog in the game. :eek::mr-t:
