I've got a D60 full floater out of a 78 F-250. There is a wedge/key that keeps the hub nut from backing off and I need two new ones. I've tried Ford and the part isn't available anymore, not even a part number. I've tried the parts stores from autozone to summit, no luck. I've also tried junk yards but all the ones i've found were mangled so bad i didn't want to use them.

I'm about to try to fab up my own, but would like to try here to see if anyone knows of a source. I've also read that some came with lock washers and lock nuts like the front spindles use. Can I just get those for a front axle and use them on the rear?

TIA

well, i contacted dana corp and they gave me a NAPA part number for an upgraded nylon lock nut. there are several NAPA stores in my area, but one has been there for ever and has a shiat load of parts there and they had what i needed on the shelf. i replaced both sides and it's a much better design.

how about trying to look on canada, ford parts canada (http://www.autopartsonlinecanada.com/make/ford.html)? my friend had once tried there before on his '02 Focus SVT..installed new wiper blade, CDN...
