just stick in some Warn hubs, some did but they are hard to find, Warn 19 spline hubs are like $70 bucks and are simple to install on a 44

Really old waggys didnt have 44s. The 44's all were the chevy style internal hubs, which are better anyway. Want 30 hubs on it? Put 30 outers on it, just carry more spares

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
yeah, go buy warn hubs. Install em and you're done. Simple and easy :) The slugs that come out a lot of folks prefer to run cause they dont break. Keep em as trail spares.

Waggy fronts are the same as chevy fronts. Go to a parts store and ask for hubs for a wagoneer

If you have a quadratrac that is full time then you do not want to run locking hubs. If it has the parttime kit then you can run the locking hubs. You will burn up the cone in the fulltime unit if you have either hub unlocked and the emergency drive off. DENNIS

They are the same hubs that chevy, Jeep, and Ford used. They are internal locking hubs.

http://www.4wheelparts.com/product1.asp?imclass=WARHUBS&cat=LH

Look at these different manufacturers and notice that they use part# WAR20990 for thier hubs. Those are the ones you want.

The Rockslut; i looked at the War202990 for $83.95, and i am correct that they will bolt onto a newer waggy front end without hubs? (quadr-trac system?)

Yes peeJ, that's what Rockslut was trying to tell you. Dana 44's from Chevy, Ford, Jeep, and Dodge will all use that same hub.

I am not sure about using locking hubs with the quad-trac t-case. The front axle has nothing to do with the full time 4wd other than having drive slugs in the front.

Are you wanting to put locking hubs on a waggy with the quad t-case? Or do you have a front axle out of a waggy and want to use it in your YJ/TJ, Yota, yada yada?

If the axle is going into a vehicle other than the stock waggy go buy the locking hubs that i listed above and go wheelin.

can i buy a kit to put locking hubs on a newer Waggy front end that came with the quadra-trak? (didn't have any hubs at all) or just get any Dana 44 internally locking hub and bolt it in?

Yes. The only reason they say not to use them on qtrack setups AFAIK is because it'll screw up the t-case. Nothing to do with the axles.

dont i need to get an Internal hub conversion, because there all no bolt holes on the outer cap?

mike
06-11-2002, 07:36 PM
No, the cap pries off, you remove a spring, a snap ring, and a slug. Then install the hub. The instructions are included :D
