Went out scouting on Sunday. We covered 35 miles on BLM land. Found some stuff I never knew existed. In case your wondering we were unloading the trailer at 6:30am and home by 12 noon, about perfect, it was just starting to feel warm :D Here's our GPS track. We tried to check out a valley called Hells Gate (looked cool from the air), but it was on private property :mad:

Now I know someone must have tried this waterfall before, but there were no tiremarks at all. The trail wraps around the mountain and comes out about a quarter mile from the waterfall. There is another smaller fall up there that people have obviously been running.

are there some picnic tables on the lower end of that trail?

Ron and I ran a trail up to a place called Hell's Gate just off Castle Hot Springs rd. it was on private land.....but a very cool place

This trail is kind of a collection of other trails. I was just looking for a way thru the mountains to Castle Hot springs Road. We eventually found a really old road that you could hardly see and follwed it for a mile or so before ending up on the road. No picnic tables, we started at the Spook Rally site. We tried getting into Hells Gate but there was a fence up, I did want to see it, looks interesting on the topos.

How about running that trail we did where Conley rolled (#2 or 3)

but without the mine tour....just the huge wash with all the rocks?

That's one I would like to go back to but I am not sure I could find that wash the guy showed us again. I think he ran us around in circles all day long :D Do you know if that's BLM land?
