On my last trip to Hollister I found my way into some deep water. As I was waiting to get pulled out, I could hear my ecu beeping under water. when we got it out it ran fine, but does anyone know why it would beep?

I have encountered the same thing after a stream crossing and it was definately the ecu beeping. It beeped for a couple of hours and quit after drying out, but the rig ran fine the whole time. I now carry a spare incase I don't get so lucky the next time, and am looking for higher ground to re-locate it to. I have thought about waterproofing mine but am not sure if that would cause heat to be generated in the electronics causing it to fail.

LOL!

I remember this happening YEARS ago to my stock sammi. I just told people it was the modern version of the "DIVE DIVE DIVE" warning on submarines!
