Hey,
Got the new Ford injectors in yesterday, new Magnecore wires, a Disco fuel rail, fuel pressure guage and schraeder valve. Pretty sweet setup actually. I'm running 35psi on the fuel, so I'm not concerned about the pump at all.
The truck runs GREAT at speed, but I have a pretty lumpy idle.
I'm going to re-set the base idle this morning, but am wondering if there is anything else to chase down.
The IAC valve is original (185K), as are all of the other sensors.
02 sensors are new, but the right one is still throwing a code. Not sure that the 02 sensor would cause such a lumpy idle.
I have a NAPA up the street to get the IAC valve...wondering if anyone has any ideas before I head out.
I can take a pic of the guage if anyone wants to see how it turned out.

Hehe...you said Crower.
I was doing a *search* (gasp), and found this crappy photo that PT took:
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=115823&stc=1&d=1079246773
Looking through the bad pixels, digital noise and dirty engine, I realized that I have probably forgotten to hook up the large hoses to the intake plenum.
Lemme go hook those up and see what she does.
Crower cam? You mistake me for someone who actually cares about their truck!

Oh...yeah...you want me to do that right now? I'm busy looking at videos on Youtube...
Important research... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QO2tgXN2FIw)
EDIT: Yeah...it worked. I think I'm still going to re-set the base-idle though. Dunno how many times I 'set' it with the bad injectors. I'll do it now with good injectors/wires. I might even get ambitious and pull out a 9/16ths wrench and mess with the dizzy.

Base idle will oftentime need to be reset any time the upper plenum is removed as the relationships have all changed.
The vacuum lines will also cause lumpy idle.

What is the procedure for setting base idle? I haven't bothered with mine since the head job, since I am chasing exhaust leaks at the moment.

She scares me.
EDIT:
I don't really ever do anything with Atlantic British, but I have found they do have a pretty good 'tech tips' section. Head bolt torque settings, among others can be found there.
Here is the procedure for setting the BASE IDLE. (http://www.roverparts.com/TechTips/base_idle_setting_procedure.cfm)
I just drove my truck around and it seems to be idling right where I want it. I'm feeling good enough with how the truck is running that I've just packed up for 2-ish days out in the sticks again.
No, I don't think I'll have to be rescued (knock on wood...). :flipoff2:
