: Exploding fans on the 3.0L V6 KLF 06-09-2002, 07:52 PM I have seen two fans explode on the 3VZ V6 engine now, both of them happened to friends of mine. It really makes a mess when they let go, takes out all kinds of expensive parts and usually dents the hood. Is this a common thing? Anybody else have this happen? Can't press 'em out and Toyota wants 625.00 for a new one. When I went to the local P-N-P they just laughed and said "They've all already been taken" Fortunately they have an aftermarket one from Taiwan. Yeah, I know.. But it works for now.
