just bought d60 from 90 dodge d250. plan on rebuilding w/ detroit, 4.88's ,35 spline cromos but don't know where to start. don't know much about anything but this IS flame free (i hope). paid $138 for axle/shipping so off to a good start. first my questions are:
-what is the difference between full float and semi float. pics would be nice
-how hard is it to convert from drum to disc (not just at axle but lines proportioning valve?)
-is this axle wider then d35 in my 99 tj
the reason i ask that is cause i measured inside to inside from backs of drums and d35 is 1.5" longer. i'm hoping d60 wms to wms is wider than d35. Didn't measure d35 wms to wms cause to lazy to take wheels off since i drive it daily. i want a wider stance. future plans are d60 front 700r4/d300 37" iroks and hopefully crate 350. this will not be a daily driver in 12-15 months but after still will drive to trails(not tow) Please help. any feed back will be very appreciated.
