1987 Jeep Wrangler, 4.2L 6 cylinder, automatic tranny (tf904), NP 231 t-case . I've had this Jeep for about 1.5 years and just don't need it. I would rather have cash for the buggy now that I have places to wheel. I was going to rebuild it a piece at a time to have the 1st year YJ but oh well.
- Motor was rebuilt in '06 before I bought it - no documents provided but had a valve job for sure, cylinder walls are clean, compression is good, runs great. Has a new radiator, new alternator, new starter
- Weber Carbeurator Conversion in '06
- Jacobs Performance Ignition Package in '06 (Pro Street model)
- Aluminum valve cover last week (no more leaks)
- 904 auto tranny was rebuilt last week :D (6 month warranty - Jame's transmission shop in Tulsa, have papers)
- I swapped in the NP231 in '06 and it was very clean inside (looked recently rebuilt when I bought it)
- Soft top is a best top and was new in '06
- 2.5 inch Black Diamond lift kit in '06
- Tube bumpers front and rear built by me
- TJ fender flares
- 31x10.5 Cooper STT tires (new style w/ sidewall tread, about 85%-90%)
- Black American Racing steel wheels
- Flat aluminum dash with Sunpro guages - temp, oil pressure, volts (original speedometer in tact and working fine)
- Dana 30 front ~new vacuum motor and 1 unit bearing in '06 - Brake Pads are good
- Non C-clip Dana 35 rear - Shoes / Drums are good
- Interior is black and basic, half ass thin coat of bed liner inside by the previous owner
I drove this Jeep daily 70 miles round trip in Florida and 40 miles round trip here. It has never had an issue. 4x4, wipers, headlights, and the rest works. It is a 20 year old Jeep so there are some rust spots on the drivers rocker, cowl and windshield frame. Nothing bigger than a quarter. The paint is OK but faded in a few areas (hood, fender tops). I have gone through the electrical system to clean it up (lots of junk from the previous owner clipping out emmissions, etc).
Never got around to body work / paint / axle rebuilds but all seems OK. Windshield is cracked but vision is not impaired (hit a bird).
