Since this IS the newbie forum, I'll just shoot straight.(a friend told me to ask pirate4x4)

I need to upgrade my late 50s Jeep, and probably the only thing that will fit without major mods is a "Dauntless" 225 Jeep v6. Sure, the buick would work too, but I'd prefer the one made for jeep, that went in CJ5, CJ6, Commanche...
Well? any of you noobs know where to find an engine?

There's a Willys Jeep meet coming up in my town, 2 months from now, and I'll probably be there looking for engines if I don't find anything sooner.

yeah, the oddfire engines were a buick product, BUT when jeep bought the engine they made a few mods. :D

The info/pics are not that detailed, but is pretty cool anyways. The FC crew cab (M677) with SBC swapped linked off that site is pretty cool too.

I have 2 FC's myself, a '59 7k GVW SRW 170, and a '59 170 DRW with the t98, D44/D70 rear. Cool trucks for sure :smokin:

like what? I helped a buddy swap in a 231 in place of a 225, we had zero issues.

i need a powersteering bracket,pump and pully. that will fit to a 225buick can anyone help me out either technicly or want to sell the parts or even where to get them?

where are you ? I just pulled a running 225 oddfire from my '68 CJ5. It ran fine, but I dropped in a 350.
