Nice. I think my first AR build will be very basic. 16 or 20" barrel, no optics, probably a fixed stock and a sling. Don't know why, I just like the look of the basic AR.

yes it did.
AND LOC-TITE THE FRONT GAS BLOCK !!!! :shaking:
i should have friggen done it but I trusted doublestar to have used some loctite from the factory :mad3: Now I will repair it if the new owner does not want to do it themself and maybe have to repair the duracoat due to one little oversight :mad3::shaking:

I will still use thier shit though.

It might be fixed, it's back together anyway:laughing:. I'll let you know after firing it tomorrow.
The duracoat is barely scuffed, nothing to worry about.
I was thinking about trying to duracoat a cheap pistol that I have just to see how it turns out. It doesn't seem like it would be too difficult once you get the pieces clean.

dude, I was panicked :eek::laughing: I was kicking myself in the ass and getting odd looks from people in the courtyard I am in yelling "FUCKFUCKFUCK" at the computer
Like I said, if it does not function right or whatever just pull the upper (it can be regular mailed) and send it to me and I will fix it right or build/get a new one.
I stand by my work :flipoff2:

if you know how to airbrush it is not hard. the metal MUST be cleanclean. I recomend sandblasting or bead blasting to give a nice "tooth"

Numidian: losen one screw and apply loc-tite and then tighten it, then repeat with the other screw.

I was a little bent myself at first, I was thinking it was a bigger issue.
Anyway, I ran 2 30 round mags through it to make sure it functioned properly, and I am happy once again:smokin:
I have no complaints about you standing by your work, I consider this one of those "shit happens" things.
I PM'd you with the problem, You immediately PM'd me back with a couple solutions. Problem solved.
I'd buy from you again.

Mating surface too? I just did the pins, I'd end up blocking it up with loc-tite and it wouldn't work:D

you would have to use a "creeping" locktite (green I think) to effectively mate the 2 surfaces.
just tightening both and putting a drop of red in the screw hole before cranking it down should work fine.

Good. Cause that's what I did:D
