Since i havent messed with any dana 20's in jeeps i was hoping you guys could tell me the difference between the dana 20's in scouts vs the dana 20's in jeeps. I am trying to decide the best doubler for my scout and was reading in billavistas article about the 203 mated to the JEEP dana 20 and wondered if it was doable with the scout dana 20.

I've got the scout dana 20.
Wasn't aware that dana made transmissions.
If you are building an adapter anyway it wouldn't make a difference. The hardest part would be finding the dodge 203 and 727 tail housing if automatic. I don't know how you would have to do it if it was a manual.
IMHO the dana 20 is such a weak t-case that a 203 would be way overkill. perhaps you could cut up an aluminum case unit out of some FSJ for range box.

Some of the late 60s D20s from 800s came twin sticked stock, so that is one plus.
X2 on not doing the doubler with the D20. (that article is like 10 years old, doubler options were limited then compared to now).
If want a doubler, go 203/205... .
Sell the D20 for $50 & buy a 205 for $100.
That $50 more in the 205 will give you 5x's the strength (and weight).

I'm retarded.:clown2: I currently have a 3 speed but i'm looking to swap in a t-19 wide ratio. Who sells adapters to these for the 203 to 205? Or is it hard to make your own?
