Glo posted that he broke a front one:eek:
I've never heard of this before so how many other people have broken front ones in their cruisers?

shim-shim-shimmey!!

hhhmmm.....my guess: SOA with no cut-turn, shims added to get enough caster in the front end to steer on the road, which in turn increased the angularity of the front driveshaft. The rear pumpkin rotates up under hard torque, and conversely the front rotates down....resulting in a snapped pinion.

Fortunately, ring-pinions are a dime a dozen....a junked t-case would have not only been more $$, but been a much harder trail recovery.

Nice work! :D

BINGO!! (Actually more for flat towing than anything else) :D

Yeah I have a spare third member ready to go in. I just have to order another flange for that baby. :D:D Fine spline front and rear. Gotta love it!
