They are in 20' sticks. I'm actually unsure how I'm even going to get *mine* up to Mt. Shasta without cutting them into 10' sections.

If we can figure out a way for it to work, I'd be willing to try to get some tubing up to you at Seattle, but I need some ideas for transport, etc...

Well, I think they'd fit on the roof-rack of a Travelall alright.

MY plan is to put them on the deck of my 16' car trailer.

Maybe diagonally, maybe with the tube sitting up on the toolbox at the front and hanging over the tongue (if I can get that kind of "angle" on it w/ the Scout on the trailer, too).. or some variation of that.

OR I order the tubing locally at 2x the price and they'll deliver it to my door. :)

If a person had a 20' car trailer and was towing a Scout to NWBRU, they'd fit quite nicely on the deck under the Scout...

So does my Travelette.

Now, take 10mpg (maybe a little less).. factor in how far it is from Helena, to Denver to Moab to Seattle and back to Helena.

I'm thinking I will need to make some tube fenders and front shock hoops to tie into my cage :D

The 1.5" tubing will be perfect for extras like O shit handles for the passengers.

At that time, I'll inquire about the 200' of 1.75" and if it's the same price or less, I'll pull the trigger. Oh, yeah... and the small tube too.

It'll be delivered to Joe's place in Concord instead of Antioch. Joe has a big side yard we can cover easily.

2" HREW .120 wall is $1.85 a foot and DOM is $2.90 a foot.
I will call and see if there is a bulk buy deal.

I can get 2x.120 HREW locally for $2.67/ft, but they can't guarantee me if it'll be 1010 grade, or 1020.

1020 is stronger than 1010. By a bunch. I don't recall the #s.

Sean still hasn't made it really clear to me if, say, 1.75x.120 1020 grade is better (stronger) or worse than 2"x.120 1010 grade.

It's all sort of like the 1.75" x.095 4130 vs 2"x.120 "normal" steel (1010 or 1020, or Old Scout's favorite, 1018)

Depending on the price, I might want 10 sticks of the stuff.. should ask a few friends locally that need to build some cages if they're about ready (of course, they all plan on using my bender...)
