I wanna run SOA with 35's. I have an sm465 and was wondering i 4:11's are good enough? Should I regear?

my bro runs 37's w/4.10's and he's is fine...although he does have a header, 38mm weber, DUI distributor. he cruises up hills, if you are all stock then you will struggle up the hills, but you should still be ok.

I have a V8 conversion. Does anyone think that may be too much power?

You'll be fine I'm running 36's with a sm420 and its just right for me 2500 at 65 on the freeway which helped some of my freeway cooling problems and still low enough crawl.
There's no such thing as too much power, You can always lift your foot off the gas but when you need more and there is'nt any look out.

305, 465 tranny, 205 t-case, stock 4.11 gears on 35" boggers. Just fine on the street, crawls well on the trails.

ditto.....4.10 stock gears, 350 with the SM465, and 38.5x14.5 SX's. It's no speed demon, but roadability is quite adequate. A double t-case is on my list, just deciding now which one to do...
