I see the Uzi and Sten blocks but not a glock one.
The Sten conversion sounds pretty cool.

Ahh there it is :D

You can get 30rd Glock mags. Not sure on the prices, but they are out there.
The idea of a carbine and pistol that accept the same mag is a very sound one.

There are 20rd stick mags for the 1911. And even some drums.
If I were to get a pistol cal carbine I would want something that took the same mag.

I like the sten conversion, but doesn't it mean converting the Sten mags to the point that they can no longer be used in a Sten?

With the FAL mag conversions I am working on I am trying to make it so it will use any old metric mag. With out making any changes to the mag.

10-4, i like the idea of them accepting the same mags, which is why i asked. no uzi or sten stuff for me.

$30 for a 33rd factory glock mag is fairly common. i've seen them as cheap as $23 if you buy in bulk (10+ I think)

i'd love to do a 45acp AR, so that might be an option too :) but only if it'll use a mag i can slap into a pistol or vice-versa.

I wouldn't use sten mags, sure they are cheap but there's a pair of reasons for that:

1. They are hard as hell to load.
2. They are not very reliable when loaded to capacity, hence why the Indians modded them to only take 20 rounds later on.

At the risk of sound ghey myself it looks bad:flipoff2: I like the "look" of military type firearms, and too me it looks too civlianized IMOP:D

It's true of what I herd the Sten mags are hard to load more and 20 or so. but I have not herd the reliability part. But I was only planning on loading 20-25 rounds so I don't hurt my princess hands:) So I figure I'll beat both reasons not the use them.

Buy a mag loader for them, even putting 25 in can be a thumb buster.

ConversionS

Currently working on...
The AK
The Enfield Ishapore

thinking about...
The Mauser.
and maybe a Rem 700.

I have an open order for the RRA .308 AR which is also using FAL mags.
I just like the idea of multiple weapons all using the same magazine.
FAL mags come in 5, 10, 20,30, and 40rd versions. So if you need something small for hunting, or live in a 10rd max State you will still be ok.

The AK involved a lot of work. I am not sure it would be worth it to try and build them to sell, would need to get like 1k for the amount of time into it.
The enfields involve fabbing up a new bottom plate, and slight change to the mag release. I think I might give these a run and see how well they sell.
The Mauser is going to be trickier. Probably end up being a one off thing like the AK.
