Why is it that my front axle wants to spring back when I disconnect the lower arms? Do I need to change something with my steering linkage? I have an adjustable trac bar, so I dont know what else it could be.
Heres the info on my setup
6" skyjacker coils,
custom lower long arms
rubicon front adj. trac bar
stock front drive shaft.
It seems like the axle shouldnt spring back so hard, whats the deal? Is this normal?

uhh, because the upper arms are the pivot point and theres a BIG FAWKIN SPRING pushing on it

why are you disconnecting the lower arms? trying to squeeze more flex out of it ?

no, even with the uppers disco'd, same thing. I had to undo the lowers to weld on the new axle mounts for the lca's.

Holy sh!t:rolleyes:

When you disconnect one set of arms (upper or lower) and you have the coil spring pushing on the axle, the axle will want to pivot aroung the mounting point because that point is behind the force being applied to the axle (by the spring).

I hope you know mor about welding than you do about suspension:eek:
