i recently put an 89 22re into my 84 4-runner and i a having a problem with fuel dumping out the charcoal canister. after i run it for a while, it starts to hesitate and fuel starts to pour out the canister drain, it won't stop until i remove the gas cap, then there is a big vacuum as the air rushes into the tank and it stop's leaking out the canister. for now i'm running without the gas cap on. is the canister bad? i already swapped the two vent lines from the gas tank so i know the vent is hooked up properly, help please:eek:

thanks ray

the vent lines are plugged or the canister is.

you'll need to replace the charcoal canister!

Definately either a pluged line or the canister. Replace the canister first. If the problem is still there replace the rubber hoses to the canister. If still exists start trying to find a way to either unclog th metal line or replace them.

how about instead of spending $ on a hose you unhook it and blow some air through it....if it's clear you do not need to waste $ on a hose:flipoff2: com awn! think McFly:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
