new to samis, and cant find the answer in the FAQs, what is the sensor switch all about under the dash near your knees? I see that it turns the sensor light on and off on the dash, but why?

from zuwharrie.com

The switch doesn't really reset anything, it just physically turns off the light. It's a coubel throw switch, and there is another double throw switch in the odometer. The odometer switch trips like every 30000 miles or something like that, which turns on the sensor light. Moving the switch under the dash turns it back off until the odometer switch changes positions again.

That's a great site to go to for general information and background on samis, by the way.

I made that mistake with my first Sami...it burnt to the ground.

But it's all good because even owning a burnt Sami is better than owning a heep any day. :D
