Is any one happy with an after market axle the bought off of a company. I can't find a company I can trust. I do not know where to turn when I go to buy a new front end. I haven't heard any good out of any of the top companies. How hard is it to produce a quality complete axle.

I personally went through hell with redline, everyone talks bad about dynatrac, and sun ray, plus they are outragously priced.

What to do?

How about Currie? What have you heard about Dynatrac? I though they were the guru's of the running gear world.

Did you not read the hp 60 problems thread?

I have heard a bunch of guys on here complain about currie as well. But they do look to be the best choice!

Didn't read the thread, however Frosty just bought F&R HP 60's for his Fj from Dynatra. I trust his judgment, but I run Toy stuff so who knows.

if i was to buy it would be from currie or dynatrac, dyna would get more consideration due to the fact they give a 1 year complete warranty....

they are both in the 5000$ price range though

No one is cheaper than me, but I have to say that time is worth money. I also think HP 60's are the awsome, not to mention the 1.5" axle shafts. But hey who doesn't have an extra $10,000 to dump into axles?

Boyce Equipment is another alternative. While they aren't completely custom and they dont cut them down at all, they can do some pretty cool stuff for relatively cheap when compared to dynatrac or currie. I talked to them about a month ago and here's what they told me:

1 ton HD Dana 44 front (67" width) = $2000
-reverse rotation
-5.13 gears (they will do any gears though)
-spool (they will do any diff though but I'm cheap and so are spools ))
-30 spline shafts
-locking hubs
-8 lug
-perches welded on where I need them

1.25 ton Dana 60 rear (65" width) = $1500
-5.13 gears
-spool
-8 lug
-32 spline full floater

They are in Utah and they told me shipping would run about $250 to NC. Not bad considering total weight of around 500 pounds. I also asked about a Dana 60 front set up like the 44 they quoted me and that runs right around $3000. Their website is www.boyceequipment.com (http://www.boyceequipment.com) if you want to check them out.

I have never heard anything bad about Sunray where I got my axles. They warranty what they sell and they are honest people.
