ok I don't know that much about high steer so this might not make sense.
my question refers to the double ended high steer arms that are used to mount the tie rod behind he axle. I was wondering if you can use the behind the axle part of the arm to mount the drag link instead of the tie rod, that way you could stretch the front using the stock steering box without any rotating or moving it forward.
Here is an example of the double ended high steer arms I am referring to.

for reference, I have a tj.
Most of the behind the axle setups I've seen are on vehicles with leaf springs. I suspect that on a TJ you might have interference issues with shocks and control arms.

you'll still need to do something with the steering box.
if you were to keep the stock steering box arangement, and just move the drag link to the back of the knuckle, the tires would turn opposite(sp) of the steering wheel, turn steering wheel to left, tires turn to right.

if i remember correctly, astro van boxes are reverse rotation from the TJ and are either a direct bolt in or pretty darn close.

and move the pitman arm out the opposite way. That's why people use them for a front stretch.

as far as the astro box goes, is there a range of stretch you can get? I have always heard you get about 8in of stretch. I really only want about 4 in of stretch and I think the most I would want is 6. With the astro box can you tweak it to get a prefered amount, or am I pretty much going to get at least 6 in or more?

well mainly just because I have already stretched the rear and I would prefer to keep my wheelbase within a certain range. I will probably go with the 8 inches if I have to, it would definately help my approach angle.
