I cut my '79 RC60 down to 65" WMS to WMS. Now I need to make a mount for the trac bar on the axle. Does it matter how long I make it? What is the best way to do it? Does it matter how high I make the mount off of the axle. How close to the knuckle should it be. Does any of this matter or am I making it complicated than it should be?

Also, with the EB on level ground how much clearance should I have between the top of the pig and the oil pan? I think I am a little close??? Anyone care to take a measurement?

Thanks!

Hey,
The most important thing with the track bar is, when your done that your angle matches the angle of the drag link. Also the longer it is the more travel you'll get. Height of the mount should be no higher than the bump stop on the other side. My 71 with some tired old 3.5 WH springs have 6"- 7" from diff to bottom of front oil pan sump. As long as the space between your diff is greater than the space between your bumps and axle your good.
