Well I'm kinda new here, I registered last year but never posted anything. I am in Manchester, Tn; 60 miles south of Nashville off of I-24. I have an 84 Bronco II that I put a carbed 302 in last year. I have a Mustang that I'm going to rob the fuel injection to put on the BII. I put a 4 inch lift, Explorer axles, and 34" LTBs under it. Here's a pic.

I have gone wheelin with my neighbor a few timesto a couple places here in Manchester, he has a 1/2 ton chevy on 38s. I know about Mayhem offroad park in McMinnville, but was told that my rig wouldn't make it so I haven't gone out there. And then there's Monteagle, I have never been there and I don't know anyone that goes. Is there anywhere else in the area? I don't have a trailer or a truck to haul it with so I would be driving it to and from.

there's www.witc.com(Summertown), then there's www.woolysoffroad.com. That's a few places that aren't tofar to wheel and you should be able to have a good time.

There is a rock racing event coming up in Viola 9/1/07. Check out www.eoronline.com for info on the event. It is right in your neck of the woods.

I showed up around 2 so I only got to see a couple hours of it. I did get to see that crazy SOB in the red buggy try to kill himself and then on a later run took a line straight at the spectators. His first run he rolled and didn't have his seat belt on then later he came back and got bounced off hid line and was pointed toward spectators and just kept going. Overall the 2 hours of it that I saw was pretty cool.

Yea....check out the DamnLocals 4x4 in Tracy City. Get on the Forum at http://www.damnlocals.com Somebody rides every weekend and on trails that you can get by on. I also own a BroII albeit somewhat modified. Always good to have another FORD pilot along..... Oh and by the way...THERE ARE NO TRAILS IN MONTEAGLE ANYMORE.

Yeah I've seen you on broncoii.org and what happened to the trails in Monteagle? They're not doing the Rosser Roundup, or whatever it was called, anymore?

Rosser, TOR....all the big events no longer are put on. Something to do with the city. As for trails....there were only 2....Stagecoach and LBI(land between the interstates), both of which have been closed for a few years now. Even the trails near-by in Cowan are shut down. This is all due to misuse/abuse, development, land sales. The few remaining trails are near Tracy City and they are in Grundy and Marion counties. Our trails are being closed off little by little....eventually they will all be closed or gone.

Well that sucks. Those events created pretty good revenue for us when I worked in Sewanee, I was a mechanic there for a few years. At least one college kid, every year, would get ideas from watching and tear there own trucks up. The best one was a S10 Blazer that sucked water into the motor and when one of the rods broke it left a nice hole in the block.
