If you know the actual guys that built it...not just Southern OffRoad.
I'd love to know their names as someone on another thread is claiming they built it.
Dookey 08-11-2007, 09:52 PM I built it
RedBullJeep 08-11-2007, 10:26 PM Can you report to this thread...about page 4, someone comes on and says hes the builder. The guy is already suspect due to him defending one of the more dangerous Jeeps I've ever seen.

Maybe the guy's legit, but it looks a lil fishy. That, and I hate when people take credit for other's work.
BTW, I love that rig!
scottiebobbie 08-12-2007, 07:26 AM that jeep was built at southern about 3 years ago and competed in the legends class of uroc. if that guy has been building stuff for 30 yeas in FL he did not build that.
RedBullJeep 08-12-2007, 05:33 PM I built it
Did you really build it??? I'd love to know who helped out to make sure the guy in that other thread isn't taking credit for someone else's work.
BTW, nice buildup on the new rig...looks like a fun and resourceful rig. I bet it handles as good as it looks...keep those wheeling photos coming!

Damn you Dustin. You aren't supposed to look at my build up before I can crack jokes about it. You should also never take anything serious from a guy posting on a Saturday night. :p
I wish I built it. Looks like a very cool rig.

ROLBY 08-13-2007, 07:25 AM HEY dustin, my name is Colby i was the spotter for that rig that year with Lee Camp the drv and builder , now Southern Offroad was a sponser of it that year and the shop forman also helped. As with most comp rigs there were about 5-6 people who played key roles with the build too. If anyone else has any questions about parts used or performance let me know.

I second what Colby said. It was Lee Camp.
RedBullJeep 08-13-2007, 04:48 PM The problem is somebody s claiming they built this Jeep but is one of those guys that you cannot possibly believe because he's trying to convince people that his "PATENT PENDING" SUPER JEEP, is an amazing machine when anyone with half a brain can tell it's a rolling death trap. Wow, that might be confusing. The guy build a shitty Jeep that he claims is Patent Pending but we claim is a death trap. In his own defense, said he ALSO build Lee's Jeep. You should look at that thread
Regardless, I hate it when someone takes credit for other's work. The guy obviously scanned that pic from a magazine, then posted it up claiming it was his work.
I love this rig by the way...now that I've seen the new photos posted, I do know the Jeep. In the scanned photo, it looks orange. That last pic looks like he's headed into "hardcore" at Jellico. :dustin:
RedBullJeep 08-13-2007, 06:11 PM It looks like the guy claiming to build Lee's Jeep's name is Billy J. Witt
ROLBY 08-14-2007, 04:48 AM the jeep - comp half buggy was indeed a heavy hitter.....it was our first year out and the rig was not tested at all, if i remember we came in 8th over all could be wrong. We all so did a frt roll off the back side near the signing both for extra points doing a spotter ride where were taking a super mod line and the back shocks loaded up and we flipped frt wards and were air born for about 20-25 ft and landed right on the windshield corner bar spotter side....wow i have seen a lot of rolls but never one that hard. The rigs cage didn't even tweak a bit but the rear 4 link was a little screwed we finshed the course but were out the last course haha i miss competition.
OFFLIMITS4WD 08-14-2007, 02:48 PM Wow where did my day go? Thanks Mr. Webster for getting me hooked into the whole JustJeepin thread. I guess that wasnt enough drama so I had to read the whole Charlie Wenzel thread also. I think I burned up what few brain cells I have left reading about these clowns. lmao all day.:)
RedBullJeep 08-14-2007, 03:23 PM You read the ENTIRE Wenzel thread?!?!? Damn, that's a ton of drama for just one day!
OFFLIMITS4WD 08-14-2007, 04:00 PM I'm ashamed to say but yes I did. I just bought a set of Krawlers last weekend off PBB and it was my 3rd purchase (all have gone well) and reading this all day makes me feel better about buying more in the future. Now if we could get a forum like this for ebay.
OFFLIMITS4WD 08-14-2007, 04:03 PM Also... WARNING!!!!!!! Reading the wenzel thread may cause brain damage!!!!
