Help...

93 YJ, 2.5L, 4.88:1, NP231, Sprung Under... Wheeling moderately difficult trails with some higher speed stuff (40 to 45mph tops) through the washes, some of them rocky. Pics on 35's (this is when the leak occured) now on 37's with some trimming.

I'm running a Currie RJ in the rear and have recently developed a pretty good oil leak; it appears to be where the tube is pressed into the housing. I can't think of any "good" scenario for this and am wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what I might be looking at... My first cocern is that I may have tweeked the aluminum housing just enough to allow the weep. I've also read of the tubes spinning in the housing, but would really be suprised if I've done that given the trails that I run with this configuration.

Any input on how to determine exactly what it is would be a great help... I dread the thought of replacing the center section, but can't really imagine beyond that what it could be...

Thanks...

John

Well I talked to Currie yesterday... Told me to check the housing over really well, if its not cracked its probably not the housing and is more likely a bent tube... It will still be an ass pain to fix but wont require a new $1000 dollar center section...

I'll crawl under later today, clean the housing and check it out...

A simple, cheap truss likely would have prevented this... I should have my ass kicked for not having it done.
