Hi !
I build up a YJ with a D70 rear for about 2 years and in this 2 years i must change both outer seals (in the brake drum) 2 times + 1 time at the axle build-up. I must change the seals because the oil is running into the brake drum.
What can i do to stop leaking ? The seal surface looks really fine. I dont know why.

Please Help ! :)

check to see if the seal you are using is double lipped, try switching brands of seals since the lips may run on a slightly different area of the shaft just in case it is worn - put a speedy sleeve under the seal

Put some sealer around the outside casing of the seal before you drive it in.

Hmmm, i cant find the correct sealing surface diameter and width to find the correct speedy sleeve.
Did anybody have the sealing surface specs for a Dana 70U to get the right speedy sleeve or an correct ordernumber for the sleeve ?

Please Help !
