For those of you that may be questioning my intentions please read.

CalROCS is in no way making any profit from the event know as Carnage FOR the CON.

We will putting this show on as if it is a CalROCS event, except for some minor items. Expect a quality show, and a good time.

This is a fund-rasier for "Friends Of The Rubicon" and/or any group fighting the closure of the Rubicon.

There will be an admission charge, this is how we plan on raising money to donate to FOTR.

If we can find sponsor's to donate for a raffle, we will be holding one of them also.

There will be food concessions on site, along with toilets.

There are plenty of BIG ROCKS and ROCK FORMATIONS you will not be disappointed.

This is not being held on the Rubicon because the area cannot support an event ot this type. We must realize that the trail is open for recreational use, and permitted organized trail rides.
And that the area is not a conventional OHV designated area like the Hammers or Moon Rocks.

Please plan on attending, this is a way for you to help our beloved
Rubicon. Being only a one day event, it will allow for you to spend the rest of the holiday weekend enjoying what ever activities you wish.

Thank you
Rich Klein

Dude, people, stop giving Rich a hard time here. He is volunteering the CALrocs name for this event. He is NOT profiting at all from this. All the entry people have NO problem paying the $100 per car to enter because they all know ti is going to a good cause. If you don'ty want to pay the entry fee, simple DON'T GO!!!!

One look at the title of the event should tell people what's going on "Carnage for the Con." Pay the $10, it will be well worth it.

July 4th, Donner Ski Ranch...

Hey, Rich
What is a good time to call you, assuming you could still use my help as a judge? I have your #, just don't want to call at a time like now (1:03 am:rolleyes: ), and that's usually when I remember.

Anybody running the Con the 5th & 6th that need a passenger/spotter? I don't really feel like dragging my DD with IFS through there...yet:D

The event should start around 9am. If you have judged in the past and would like the op. to help again please call Joel Kelsey, He's setting up all the judges.

Rich, who is setting up the courses? Is he leaning towards technical rock-crawling or roll-over carnage? What's the format? Three courses? Are the clubs running together or are all of the competitors scattered? Did I miss a post that explained all of this?

No you did not miss a post.

The course designer will be Tim Hardy, with help from me and a couple of others.

3 courses

start on all 3 I think, but they will be close enough together that you should be able to watch.

I'd say more techincal, than a roll fest, Tim has not seen the place yet.
