I have a 1990 Cherokee 6 cyl and when I get to 50-55 mph it starts to wheel hop. It has a very firm suspension. The guy I bought it from said it handles rough on streets but great on offroading. It does. You can feel every bump in the road. I have been told by 2 different shops that it needs power steering pump, Master cylinder and motor mounts but I think it may be more front end alignment and suspension issues. Has anyone else experienced this? I have a guy ready to fix it but don't want to pay for something that does'nt need immediate fixing like this hopping thing because I feel like it going to drive off the road if I go over 50.
Please help and thanks i advance!!

Start by checking/tightening everything in the front suspension.
A stiff suspension usually won't death wobble.
Your tires may also be out of balance.

My old drive shaft did that. Everything was good until about 45 or 50

So what should I do if it's the drive shaft? Sorry for sounding like :homer:
It just seems to feel more like a front end wobbly issue. freakin weird.

Where do you feel the "hopping" in your ass? through the steering wheel?
My first guess, with little information would be the tires.
