Hey Max, thanks I'll have to call Jack...he will probably try to keep whatever you left for himself!

Caliente is about 25 miles west of Boone,NC so it is pretty close and is trailer friendly. Be ready for some ATV hell though, most of the trails are geared toward them and they arrive in droves. We went up on a weekday and didn't see anyone until Saturday morning when two clowns showed up from TN at 6:30am and raced around camp and throughout the valley were people live with the throttle wide open...and no mufflers. I thought they might weed themselves out of the gene pool with some of their stunts but that did not happen. The campground filled up throughout the day, as with most places.

The trail you see in pics is the main attraction, cable hill, is it's name I think; it is similar in length to lower 2 at Tellico. The waterfall on another trail is a fun obstacle too. Some steep hillclimbs if you are into that are all over the place.
