Pics of my first real trail run after installing the Danas....
Were in the middle of the dry season, which goes from March to September, so the mud holes are kinda dried up. Even so, relative to a lot of the mud action in other places, itīs still rather respectable.
Canīt wait for it to start raining again...:(

Nothinī at all special for the steering. Iīm still using the stock steering box, only with the pitman arm tapered hole bored out to take a larger sized rod end...
BTW, if you look real close at that very pic, you can see that the end of the steering stabilizer shock is broken off. Didnīt even notice the fawker wasnīt workinī....

:smokin: pre- power steering, i took my stabilizer off, and had major death wobbles that would shake the wheel right out of my hands....... terrified me. now that i have power steering, and no stabilizer, :D :D everything is sweet! no death wobbles anymore!
and even with my cross over linkage i still experienced a little bit of bump steer. now that has either gone away or faded into non-noticability, either way :)

Yeah, sometimes shite what seems like dumb luck happens like that...:p ;) During the swap to PS, did you physically alter the position of the pitman relative to the axle?? If you did, thatīs prolly why the bumpsteer went away...
In my case, I have NO bumpster at all. I designed my suspension specifically to keep the drag link and panhard parallel to each other. Therefore, skill, not dumb luck in this case... However, where i got lucky was with the Swampers. I didnīt even attempt to balance them (waste of time and $$), but I can take my hands off the steering wheel at 50 mph and she goes straight and true with nary a wobble...:D :D
