2.5" pipe and any turbo muffler. Very hard to get a deep sound from a 4cyl. Glasspacks are definately not it.

"turbo" chambered mufflers suck ass. Might as well stay stock or get some discount muffler from buckys.
the hooker aerochamber is quite good. Magnaflow makes some good ones as well.
I dislike the flowmasters, they make too much noise for no reason.

I dislike the flowmasters, they make too much noise for no reason.Had a dynomax suck ass turbo. Nice quiet mellow sound, wish I still had it. Everything else gets too loud in the cab, let alone outside. Nothing wrong with them discount mufflers either. Why pay twice the price or more? Comes down to do you want to be loud or just heard.

Ive got a flowmaster 40 series and it sounds great. Not loud at all but puts out a great tone.

All my friends who have 'Yota's like the idea of gutting the cat and adding a glasspack. Sounds good for a week or so, but after that the sound goes to shit. Of course, being submerged in mud and water never help either...

aerochambers are nearly as quiet as a turbo muffler, oddly enough.
But still sound like something not stock.
stainless internals and a thick aluminized shell.
dynomax has some straight through, large shell mufflers, as does magnaflow.
many magnaflows are all stainless as well.
I've had somewhere between 15 and 20 exhaust systems in different configurations. the aerochamber sounds good in the center of a system, but not on the end.
the magnaflow on the end of the system sounded better, but a bit louder (wgich I was ok with).
the dynomax in the center sounded pretty good too.
glasspacks, always sound the same, loud and shitty (on a 22r#)

I went to a shop where they cut off my old flowmaster, and held like 2 or 3 mufflers I was intrested in inplace with a heavy rag and I chose the 1 that sounded the best.
I like the deep non wanna~B V8 sound of magna flow.:smokin:

2.5 is too much if you want to keep low end torque , 2.25 is the max I would recommend , unless you are looking for high end power , and glasspacks do not have spark arrestors , so they they are not legal for offroad use , make sure to check your local laws to see what is legal !!!!!
