Dana 44 out of Jeep wagoneer.....3" tubes?

don't think so, pretty sure only the HD stuff is 3"

HD is bunk... most are 2.75". Fords seem to be 3" from 77-79 in F150/F250.

The most HD housing I have is from a 71 3/4-ton Fargo - has 2.75" tube. Its stripped completely bare and I still can't lift it <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0"> Must have something to with the 11/16" wall tubing! <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0">

Hmmm.......according to the invoice from MORE, they sent me two sets of perches, one that was 2.75", and one 3.25". The 3.25 is for the 8.8 rear. The 2.75" perches are too small for the front 44, and the 3.25" perches are too large, so it's gotta be a 3" tube. Interesting.

I have had many different D44s and here is what the were....

Ford RC - 3" tube
Chevy 8 lug - 3" tube
Chevy 8 lug - 2.75" tube
Dodge 5 lug - 3" tube

It all kind of depends.
