Well I'm thinking of running Aluminum beadlocks instead of steel beadlocks to save some weight...Is the difference in weight worth the extra $$ for the aluminum wheels??
I have decided to go with 37" MT/Rs instead of the 38.5 TSL-SX for now...
they were for me. it's is a personal preferance.

Let me just say this, if I go steel, it'll be a Rockstomper knock-off type, otherwise after seeing a Champion beadlock, that's what I would get if money wasn't a concern. Beadlocks are last on my list, or will move up quickly if I start poppin' beads :D

Depends if weight is a big deal for you like it is for camo who is going all out for a light weight HD rig (BTW nice rearend work camo)
Do you like having alot of weight way down low to help your COG
or
do you want the slight improvement in HP and braking power at the wheels?
Can you deal with the rust etc that eventually develops (at least here in WA) inside your bead seating surfaces? (doesn't happen with aluminum rims)
The only other thing is that I have bent a number of steel wheels...at least I could always hammer back the bent bead. Bending the center of the rim sucks cause now you have a bad rim (this happened a couple of times).

Aluminum rims are GENERALLY much more balanced, so if you plan on street driving, this will come into play... I run MT Classic II's with OMF Beadlocks ( nicer and thicker than Champions ) and 37" MTR's, dont even need weights, and absolutely no shaking or wobble on the freeway at 75mph, or anywhere inbetween.

Where did you get your OMF beadlocks at? Does OMF have a web site?

Thanks for your input on this one...I like to drive my rig on the street so that does play into it, and rust also does so I'm leaning toward aluminums...
Does anyone make 2" offset aluminum beadlocks? How far out of the fender would they sit on IFS rear and the FJ vented swap up front?

Does anyone have pics of how far out their wheels sit with that axle combo above? 2" BS or 3.75" BS??
Thx

OMF is in Riverside CA, they can do your own rims, or All Pro sells them like this already done.
