The taper on the D44 tie rod ends is about 7.125 degrees (included angle...not per side).

Its steeper than 60 degrees. 60 degrees is the taper of a lug nut.

wow, this thread is over 2 years old, and it doesn't seem to have really been covered since...

so does anyone know? it would be very convienent if it were the same 1.5 inch per foot taper as TREs...
