I'm putting a high-pinion 60 together using a rear "donor" 60.
(using 2 to make 1)
I pulled the tubes with the spindles still attached from the rear "donor". Also pulled the tubes out of the high pinion.
I'm ready to press the tubes/spindles into the H.P. housing.
Will the spindles be lined up? Or do I need to remove the spindles and align them via jig and in a sense weld them right back on?
Question 2, This donor was out of a 79 Ford F.F. rear.
As mentined earlier, I used the tubes and spindles.
I want to convert the outers to disc brake. I know to use Chevy front rotors, but what about bearings and hubs?
Are the hubs on these drums I have of any use to me? If so, how the hell do they come off the drum? They almost look like theyre one piece but that doesn't seem right.
Thanks alot guys.
