alright guys im looking for a fan upgrade in my truck. i currently have a constant manual fan. i had a clutch flex fan but dont like them and they tend to self destruct. secondly i've heard about a tarus fan upgrade. anyone kno what yrs to get. i kno that flexalite makes them but i have autobody connections and can get used parts on the cheap.

Do a search for Taurus fans. There is a lot of info on these.

What's wrong with the factory set-up? 5 OR 7 blade with the clutch.

you cannot turn the factory clutch fan off to cross water or mud. It becomes a propeller and slings crap all of the engine and the blades could pull into the radiator and cuase damage. But if its just a street queen those aren't concerns. :flipoff2:

i have the ran the turas and tempo fans, they are great, but i recently swaped it up to a buick regal fan fromt e junk yard. i noticed a little more of a difference, but then to cold can turn not so good. make sure you run it to a fuse that only has power when you turn the key. good luck

The Tauras fans have been the favorites of most Mustang drag racers as they move a ton of air.
