It took my reading the FJ forums before I realized that was Amanda's FJ. That thing sure has changed since I ran hells revenge and moab rim with her last year.

Looks good. How did you get the brakes hooked up? Stock master bypassing the ABS system?

Yea it should be up on some fj's now :) I'd put it up against the Ultimate adventure rig. Can't compare the the 60's and 40's though... just the the way it's put together and how it acts on the trail.

The brakes are just hooked up normal. Since the rear is stock it might still work kinda. The front brakes work great they just won't have abs input and ABS is for people that aren't "drivers" anyways :D

I told Amanda that I have some ideas on how to make the computer happy. Once I get mine back (hopefully next week) I will work on it. If I figure it out, I'll come up and we can make her's work as well.

Looks really good Phil!

lefty 5.0 case w/ a 2.7 in front of it.

How big is the 2.7 crawl box? Did it all bolt up or did you have to cut the gas tank or anything to get it to fit?

Speaking of budget ? what does it take to wrap a FJC in that gear ?
You do some nice shit Phil, keep it up. Are you sure you do not know FC , they have the same culvert in their test pics sometimes.

Silly Philly, that is just pure sickness. Question ~ pardon if it was already asked: Is that a used Ford 44 out of an older truck? Seems it would be if HiPin, and if so, did you just swap chevy inners? Ya know what, screw the questions. PM. I think I might be financing your next welder...

Sillyneck

I don't know a total for this particular job.... but if I was to do it again just like that, not incl the lefty (unless of course you want that sick sick gear reduction action!) I can get one out the door for about $14k

Don't know FC... http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/attachments/4x4-off-road-tech/14232d1186160676-missfjs-project-sfa-dsc00839.jpg way off in the distance to the right of the fj is where that ditch is. If FC came all the back into my compound I'd know it. I'm a mile in, one way in one way out ;) thanks for the compliments bro!

Do you have any shots of how you did the custom radius links? I looked through the thread on FJC but didn't see anything. Looks like the Ford ends with a wristed joint on one side?

thanks for the good words guys.

I didn't take too many pics of the modded clamps because ultimately I'd rather have the welded 'c' housing but (enter saying of the year) it is what it is ;)

MissFJ
09-26-2007, 11:09 AM
We had dual cases installed. Going into Prichett tried to bump a ledge and the rear case output shaft went kaboom. It's gear driven so we had no go, no park....just the brakes! Our buddy towed us out of there and let's just say my winch cable is pissed!
Inchworm is rebuilding it with some bling since the FJ is a little too heavy for the stock output shaft.

hey hey hey... stop the presses... don't drive the rig anymore... Dickfoster says that for that rig to work it must be built by an engineer on paper before anything works right. SOOOOOOOOOO quit the charade.. you know all those pics were photochopped and anyone who said they saw it working well had their pockets padded by me. :flipoff2:

If this ever gets old I'll be sad.
