here we have a 1990 dodge ram250 cummins turbo diesel with 200ish thousand miles. but hey its a diesel. let me start by saying that its my grandpa's old truck and i've only been driving it for about a week, so all the miles are well grandpa miles, it was driven like a baby. i cant afford to have three cars, so this ones gotta go.
THE GOOD:
manual 5 speed transmission. super low 1st gear for towing.
A/C
comes with quite a large camper shell.
easy driven 200,000 (ish) miles
my grandpa was the original owner
always good an oil/ and filter changes.
has trailer brakes.
all electrical is in proper working order.
tires seem to have plenty of life left.
new alternator
THE BAD:
throwout bearing is squealing
a nice sized patch of cancerous rust near the upper driverside corner of the cab close the the windshield.
tranny gets sticky sometimes, but is real easy to get used to.
steering slightly pulls to the right
THE UGLY:
paint is well, a mix of stock and spray paint, it lived in Santa Cruz all its life the salty ocean air had an affect on the paint, so what my grandpa would do is sand it down and spray paint it with a similair blue color, doesn't look that bad but its noticable
all in all its a diesel, runs like a champ and fires right up, its never left my grandpa stranded or kickin the tires.
shoot me a call if your interested
